Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day parade and ceremonies in conjunction with the 146th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.  This annual event features parade of Civil War reenacting groups, living historians and organizations to the High Water Mark Monument.  Parade begins at 1 PM followed by the ceremonies approximately at 2 PM. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and Veterans Reserve.

Following the parade, a memorial ceremony and wreath laying will be held on Benners Hill by the members of the 4th Maryland Light Artillery, 1st Maryland and Carpenter's Battery.

Sixth Annual Remembrance Illumination in the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  More than 3,500 luminary candles are placed on the graves in the Civil War section of the Soldier's National Cemetery as a testament to the sacrifices made on this battlefield in 1863.  Luminary candles may be sponsored.  Sponsored by the Gettysburg Foundation (Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg).
